Foundation in eMbalenhle hosts event and donate pads

Less fortunate people can contact foundation for help.

The NDP Foundation hosted the Ukubekezela Nokuphikelela event on June 30 at the founder of the NDP Foundation, Nkosinathi Hleza’s house.

Hleza held this event to honour his brother, who committed suicide on June 10 last year.

The Imvelo Performing Arts group entertained the guests and the NDP Foundation donated sanitary pads and clothes.

Hleza said this Ukubekezela Nokuphikelela event will now be every Sunday from 14:00 to 17:00.

The meaning of the name is patience and perseverance.

He thanked the sponsors who gave food for the day, as well as sanitary pads and clothes. Hleza plans to donate blankets, curtains, school uniforms, shoes and bags at their upcoming events.

The NDP Foundation will also distribute sanitary pads twice a month and cosmetics to prisons.
