Parkrunners stay active in Bronkies
The community enjoys their weekly parkrun and uses it to socialise with others.
Bronkhorstspruit hosted its 191st parkrun on June 22. Sixty-one people participated.
The first to finish was Jugens Hayes with a time of 26:05, followed by Elize Uys (26:45), Leonie van der Berg (31:37), Martin Uys (31:58), Richard Travis (32:20), Marie-Claire Hayes (33:21), Harm Boer (33:37), Ryno Opperman (34:46), Cornel Kotze (35:36) and in 10th place was Petro Jordaan with a time of 36:25.
The volunteers who made this parkrun possible were André de Lange, Moonilal Dunmun, Gonasagree Govender, Cornel Kotze, Amisha Rampersadh, Bhavna Rampersadh, Despina Rockas, Filia Rockas and Casper Strydom.
The next parkrun will be on June 29 at the Bronkhorstspruit Dam.
People are encouraged to become active by running, jogging, walking and volunteering in the parkrun.
Taking part is easy – a person registers online before your first parkrun, and when registered, you can participate in the parkrun weekly.
