Hawks trace Ndlovu to Standerton Correctional Services

A warrant of arrest was authorised and Ndlovu was traced to and found at Standerton Correctional Services.

The Hawks Nelspruit-based Serious Organised Crime Investigation (Hawks) re-arrested John Edward Ndlovu (36) on June 14 on two counts of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

According to a media statement, Ndlovu was part of the ‘Ellese’ gang. The gang’s cases were withdrawn, pending ballistic reports during 2022.

Upon receiving the forensic report, it linked Ndlovu to four cases through ballistics.

A warrant of arrest was authorised. Ndlovu was traced to and found at Standerton Correctional Services, where he serves five life sentences for murder, armed robbery, intimidation, and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The Mbombela High Court sentenced him to this in July 2022.

Ndlovu appeared before the White River Magistrate’s Court on June 14, where they postponed the case to July 23 for a regional court date.

The investigation is continuing.
