Soccer tournament planned in Standerton

Tshabalala is eager to launch a tournament in the June school holidays with the promise of scouts and ex-professionals to spot local talent.

Bafana Tshabalala, formerly from Standerton and now living in Johannesburg, launched his soccer foundation in 2023 as an NPO dedicated to empowering the youth through soccer.

The Standerton Advertiser communicated with Tshabalala on May 4, saying they committed to fostering holistic development by leveraging the universal language of soccer.

“Our journey is one of passion and dedication and an unwavering belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive,” his programme cited.

“As we lace up our boots and step onto the pitch, we carry a vision of a better tomorrow, where every child can shine and excel.”

The foundation believes soccer could change lives and transform communities. They also believe in inclusivity, empowerment, excellence, integrity and a sustainable impact on communities.
