Water concerns in the Bronkhorstspruit area

People are complaining about the quality of the water in Bronkhorstspruit.

The City of Tshwane (CoT) is investigating water quality concerns in Bronkhorstspruit following complaints.

The city says it has immediately sent our water and sanitation teams to check the system and conduct tests on the water quality.

Repair teams have already fixed problems in the sewerage reticulation systems in Vester Park and Lanham.

CoT spokesperson, Sipho Stuurman, said preliminary tests indicated no E. coli contamination.

“In addition, we conducted water quality tests in Bronkhorstspruit, Zithobeni and Rethabiseng.”

Initial testing indicates the water is clear, but more samples are being tested.

“Once we have the final results, we could make an informed decision, particularly if the water quality does not meet the required standards.”

“We are monitoring the matter closely and will continue to update residents on developments,” said Stuurman.
