Tshwane Men’s Netball League kicks off with 13 teams

David Mahlangu, netball coordinator for Region 7 and head coach for the Golden Eagles said, “I was impressed when my team was competing in the netball matches, it was beyond expectation as they were playing with experienced teams in the opening of the league.

The Tshwane Men’s Netball League kicked off at Sunnyside Bowling Club on May 12. This year a total of 13 men’s teams registered in Tshwane and will be competing in the league.

The Golden Eagle Netball Club is one of the teams from Tshwane Region 7 representing Bronkhorstspruit and surrounding areas of Region 7.

The club also includes players from Vaalbank, which is a farm around Bronkhorstspruit.

David Mahlangu, netball coordinator for Region 7 and head coach for the Golden Eagles said, “I was impressed when my team was competing in the netball matches, it was beyond expectation as they were playing with experienced teams in the opening of the league.

“The momentum from my players was unstoppable.”

Round two of the league will be played on June 9 at the Groenkloof University at Pretoria Campus.
