51 participate in Bronkhorstspruit parkrun
Sarah de Beyer completed her 50th parkrun.
Bronkhorstspruit hosted its 173rd parkrun on February 17. Of the 51 participants at the event, Hanru Herbst came first with a time of 23:47.
Willem Bekker finished second in 24:35, followed by Marius Janse van Rensburg (26:06), Mikhail de Lange (28:26), Regardt Swanepoel (29:14), Casper Strydom (29:25), Xander Scheepers (29:31), Harry van der Merwe (29:38), Wendy-Lee Meyer (30:00,) and Andre Meyer finished in tenth place in 30:11.
The volunteers who made this parkrun possible were André de Lange, Anje Maree, Casper Strydom, Cornel Kotze, Despina Rockas, Filia Rockas, Lelani de Lange, Matteo de Lange and Mikhail de Lange.
Weekly, the residents grab a post-parkrun coffee at Bronkiesbaai Restaurant or Art Café @ Anton Smit.
They chat with other parkrunners over a cup of tea or coffee and be a part of this community. The parkrun is a free weekly 5km event for participants of all fitness levels and all ages.
It is a chance for the community, regardless of age or gender, to come together regularly to enjoy the outdoors and be physically active.
