Runners, joggers and walkers take on 5km in Standerton
The parkrun is free of charge and offers runners, joggers and walkers the opportunity to compete against themselves.

The weekly parkrun continues to attract people from different walks of life to compete in a 5km that is held at the Standerton River Park every Saturday at 8:00.
This past weekend saw only one athlete improving his time.
Bongani Mkopane crossed the finish line in a time of 18:40, followed by Zigi Dlamini who recorded a new personal best of 21:39.
The first woman to cross the finish line was Chrizell Roberts in 22:11. Adam Marzugi registered 26:33 in his second event, while Wassie Rossouw finished in 27:46.
Parth Jayram completed the distance in 29:51, Patricia Mudau in 30:38, Collins Mudu in 30:39 and Andrew Ainsworth in 30:39.
Frans Vermaak, Johannes Vosloo, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Marjorie Uys, Nienkie Swart, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Sylvy Moodley and Willy Smith took up position to ensure a safe and smooth event.
