WATCH: Women assaulted in council chambers in Secunda
Police are investigating the incident after cases were opened.
Two women, councillors from DA and EFF, were assaulted yesterday, July 31, in the Govan Mbeki Municipality council chamber when Brendan Village community members disrupted the council meeting.
The DA councillor was slapped while a chair was thrown at the EFF councillor.
Cases were opened and police are investigating.
