Christopher Watson from Secunda will serve life imprisonment for the murder of Angelique Fourie.

A life sentence was handed down to Christopher (Stoffie) Watson, in the Delmas High Court today, November 2, for the murder of his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child Angelique Fourie (27).

Watson stabbed Fourie 13 times in her neck at her home in a Terra Nova Village complex in Trichardt on November 7, 2021.

He fled the scene after killing Fourie in front of their 3-year-old daughter, but later handed himself over to the Norkem Park Police Station in Kempton Park on November 9, 2021.

Watson appeared several times in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court and Regional Court before the matter was transferred to the Delmas High Court for trial.

Nearly marking one year since Fourie was murdered, Watson will be serving his life sentence and an additional 3-year sentence, that will run concurrently, for assault.
