Thieves steal sheep worth R32 000 in eMbalenhle

The farmer noticed that his kraal fence was cut.

eMBALENHLE – More than a dozen sheep worth R32 000 were stolen at Ext 26 in eMbalenhle on Friday afternoon, October 7.

According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, eMbalenhle Police spokesperson, a stock theft case was opened after a small-scale farmer reported his 16 missing sheep to the police.

Mthethwa said the farmer collected his livestock as usual in the afternoon, locked them in his kraal and went back home.

When he returned to conduct his routine patrol, he noticed some sheep missing from the kraal.

The farmer then noticed that his kraal fence was cut. Mthethwa said no arrests have yet been made.
