Accused in murder case of Standerton man remain in custody

Both Sthembiso Mbhokane and Bafana Mbhokane will appear again in court on October 27.

Standerton Magistrate’s Court denied bail on Thursday, September 22 to the two accused in the murder case of Surprise Mnqobi Mkhwanazi.

The Women’s League of the ANC in Thuthukani were once again in front of the court, singing and dancing, to oppose bail.

More than a thousand signatures were on the petition in which bail was strongly opposed.

Both Sthembiso Mbhokane and Bafana Mbhokane will appear again in court on October 27.

The deceased went missing on July 18 and his body was found in the Vaal River.

Police also apprehended Sibusiso Radebe, who is out on bail but has to report to Sakhile Police twice a week.

He is charged with possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition and bail was set at R10 000.
