They put up a score of 152/6 in 19.4 overs, while their opponents had to be satisfied with 150/6 in 20 overs, thereby ensuring a win by four wickets.

Sky Rockets opted to bat and faced the bowling attack of Quintin Kruger taking two wickets, conceding 13 runs, Tobie taking two wickets, conceding 25 runs and Jan-Dirk van Dyk taking one wicket, conceding 22 runs.

The batsmen of Sky Rockets bravely fought back, with Douglas Richardson scoring 38 runs off 52 deliveries, Michael Hobkirk scoring 33 runs off 23 deliveries and Nolly Nel on top form, scoring 20 runs off six deliveries.

The bowling figures reflected Dillon Kriel taking two wickets, conceding 29 runs, Petrus Matthee taking two wickets, conceding 31 runs and W Muller taking one wicket, conceding 11 runs.

The batsmen of Blue Bottle Barbarians were raring to go, with Jacques Smith scoring 48 runs off 43 deliveries, Ricus van den Hoven scoring 21 runs off 19 deliveries and Jan-Dirk van Dyk scoring 12 runs off 10 deliveries.
