Bethal Buffels takes Mayor League rugby final

In a match played against eMbalenhle Rugby Club, Bethal Buffels brought home the Mpumalanga Rugby Union Mayors League Highveld trophy in a close win, on home ground, with a final score of 39-33.

BETHAL – What a great end to the Mayor League rugby finals played at Hoërskool Hoogenhout in Bethal on Saturday, September 17.

In a match played on home ground against eMbalenhle Rugby Club, Bethal Buffels brought home the Mpumalanga Rugby Union’s Mayor League Highveld trophy in a close win of 39–33.

Bethal Buffels’ Micheal Erasmus and David Makanda scored two tries with Paul-Philip de Jager and Karel-Pieter de Jager scoring a try each.

The Men of the Match were Pietman Erasmus, Micheal Erasmus, Tobie Sfiso Molefe and Philani Nkosi.

The team thanked all supporters and sponsors for their support during the season.

The team proved that standing, striving and moving together, earned them the title of the Mayor League Highveld champs.
