Evander High School's Civil Ndlovu received a bronze medal at the Gert Sibande District Cross Country Championship on September 3 and was invited to compete at the Mpumalanga Cross Country Championship on September 10. Evander High School's Civil Ndlovu received a bronze medal at the Gert Sibande District Cross Country Championship on September 3 and was invited to compete at the Mpumalanga Cross Country Championship on September 10.
Despite obstacles, discouragements and disappointments, Civil was placed 6th at the provincial championship, earning him a spot on the Mpumalanga cross country team that will participate in the SA Championships in East London during the October holiday.
By being committed to everything he started, he has built a certain type of spirit, mentality and individuality, of which he now says: “I couldn’t quit even if I wanted to, I couldn’t lay in bed even if I wanted to and I couldn’t stop even if I wanted to.”
