eMbalenhle Police find body in car near Roodebank

The deceased had gunshot wounds in his buttocks.

eMbalenhle Police opened a murder case after a 43-year-old man’s body was discovered next to old mine shaft near Roodebank on Saturday, May 14.

According to Const Busi Mthethwa, a community member alerted the police about the body.

The police were led to a car with a body on the front passenger seat. The body was slumped over facing down.

Mthethwa said emergency services were summoned to the scene and the man was declared dead.

Mthethwa also said the deceased had gunshot wounds in his buttocks.

The vehicle’s registration number was circulated and it was found that it belongs to the deceased.

The man was identified by his family.

Mthethwa said they are investigating the murder case and no one has yet been arrested.
