Man found on the side of the road at Isibonelo Colliery turnoff on the N17

The man alleged he was hi-jacked in Johannesburg and put in the boot of a vehicle.

Emergency services responded to a scene on the N17 of a 26-year-old man who was found lying on the side of the road by the Isibonelo Colliery turnoff.  

Emergency services responded to a PVA (pedestrian-motor vehicle accident) at around 8:10 this morning, March 31.  

People on the scene said the incident did not add up.  

The man alleged he was hi-jacked in Johannesburg and put in the boot of a vehicle.  

He claimed that when he came to, all he could see was a Springs/Ermelo board sign.  

The man also said that he was stabbed, however, paramedics could not find any physical wounds on him upon examination.  

A message of warning goes out to the public to not pull over or approach such incidents as it could be a potential hi-jacking mechanism.
