Six people injured in accident close to Standerton

The patients were treated and transported to Evander Provincial Hospital for further care.

Six people were injured when two light motor vehicles collided on the R546 outside of Standerton on Saturday evening, March 19.

According to ER24 communication officer, Russel Meiring, their services arrived at 20:00 to find a vehicle on the side of the road on its roof.

Another car was in the middle of the road.

“Six adults were walking around on the scene. Medics assessed the patients and found that all six had sustained minor to moderate injuries,” said Meiring.

The patients were treated and transported to Evander Provincial Hospital for further care.

“This incident’s details are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” concluded Meiring.
