Police are searching for a man who stabbed a 32-year-old woman at Ext 24 in eMbalenhle and then ran away.
According to Const Busi Mthethwa, the woman was stabbed several times in her head, hands and face. She was rushed to the hospital.
Const Mthethwa said the incident happened on Sunday night, March 13.
According to the information from the police, the victim’s sister heard her sister screaming in her room and when she went to investigate, she noticed that her sister’s room light was off.
When she opened her sister’s door, she noticed a man stabbing her sister with a knife.
She tried to stop the man but he overpowered her.
The man fled the scene and an attempted murder case was opened at eMbalenhle Police Station.
