Secunda-baby urgently needs heart operation

Oregon Spur and Secunda Mall organises worthy cause to help Liané Roux.

Oregan Spur, Secunda Mall and the community hosted a successful money raising event to help baby Liané Roux (nine months) who urgently needs a heart operation.

The owners of Oregon Spur came up with the initiative and even organised two local artists, Renaldo Alberts and PJ Pretorius to entertain the audience for the evening.

Liané was born with a heart defect known as ventricular septal defect (VSD), a congenital heart defect which caused a hole in her heart and it divides her left- and right heart chambers from one another.

She was also born with another heart defect, called double outlet right ventricle (DORV) which causes her aorta to connect with her heart at the wrong place, thus to get enough oxygen pumped through her body is a problem.

Her parents do not have a medical aid and is currently getting sponsors to raise enough money to pay for Liané’s operation.

Bikers from several clubs attended Oregon Spur’s money raising evening for Liané.

The management team of Spur thanked everyone who contributed towards the event by giving money, gift vouchers and by just attended the event and supporting the cause.

Renaldo Alberts performs on Thursday, March 3 at Oregon Spur’s money raising event for baby Liané Roux who urgently needs a heart operation.
