Secunda Flying Squad arrests dagga smuggler – suspect in court

They stopped and searched the vehicle and found bags of dagga weighing 230kg.

A 37-year-old man is appearing before the Hendrina Magistrate’s Court today, Wednesday, January 26, after the Secunda Flying Squad arrested him on Monday morning.

According to the Information, the members of the Secunda Flying Squad were conducting patrols on the road between Hendrina and Bethal when they spotted a suspicious Toyota Hilux bakkie that morning.

The suspect was immediately arrested for dealing with dagga.

The Provincial Commissioner of the police in Mpumalanga, Lieut-Gen Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has applauded the members for their vigilance during patrols and encouraged their hard work.
