Post mortem reveals young mother from Trichardt was stabbed multiple times

Mr Christopher Watson briefly appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Thursday and the case was postponed to Wednesday, November 17.

Ms Angelique Fourie’s post mortem revealed that she was stabbed multiple times in the left side of her neck.

This is according to a reliable source.

The post mortem was done on Thursday, November 11, the same day on which the man who is suspected of her murder, appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court.

Mr Christopher Watson briefly appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Thursday and the case was postponed to Wednesday, November 17.

He is the ex-boyfriend of the 27-year-old Ms Fourie.

Roleplayers who were called out to the home of Ms Fourie in a complex at Terra Nova in Trichardt on Sunday night, November 7, discovered Ms Fourie’s bloodied body on the bathroom floor.

In a first media statement released by the station commissioner of Trichardt, Capt Doctor Charles Mngomezulu, the police said Ms Fourie was drinking with the accused throughout the night and that a neighbour found Ms Fourie’s blooded body when wanting to tell the couple to reduce loud music.

However, this was very far from the events of what had actually transpired and what had led to the fatal death of Ms Fourie.

Mr Watson allegedly left a local sports bar after drinking and showed up at the house of Ms Fourie on the Sunday night while she was having coffee with a neighbour.

An altercation between Mr Watson and the neighbour allegedly led to the neighbour leaving Ms Fourie’s home and later returning to find a fire coming from her home.

Mr Watson was no longer on the scene when the neighbour returned.

The neighbour sustained cuts to his arm while trying to break out one of the windows to Ms Fourie’s home.

Residents in the vicinity had managed to extinguish the fire that was coming from the kitchen and turned off the gas supply by the time roleplayers had arrived.

StratconRisk and the GMM Fire Department were the first responders at the scene.

A member of StratconRisk bandaged the neighbour’s arm.

Ms Fourie’s body was found in the bathroom. According to the police, she had wound to her neck.

ER24 declared Ms Fourie deceased at 23:50.

Mr Watson dropped off their daughter (nearly three years old) at his sister’s house in Secunda at around 7am on Monday, November 8, before fleeing the Teks area.

A massive manhunt for Mr Watson ensued when he had fled the area.

Police escorted Mr Watson back to Secunda on Tuesday, November 9, after he handed himself over to the Norkem Park Police Station in Kempton Park.

He is being charge with murder. He is also facing charges of assault and arson.
