Teacher appears in Secunda Magistrate’s Court

His case has been postponed to September 14 for further investigation.

SECUNDA – A teacher who was released on R20 000 bail on June 1 made his appearance in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, July 6.

His case has been postponed to September 14 for further investigation.

He is currently facing 18 charges of sexual assault, self sexual assault and compelled sexual assault on five learners under the age of 18 years.

His bail conditions include that he does not have any contact with persons under the age of 18 years or any of the victims.

He is also not allowed to engage on any social media platforms.

The teacher was arrested on May 22 after the learners had come forward with the allegations.
