27 employees at Msukaligwa Municipality in isolation after three test positive for Covid-19

According to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman for Msukaligwa Municipality, 14 members of the electrical team are currently in isolation. 

Three employees of Msukaligwa Municipality have recently tested positive for Covid-19.

According to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman for Msukaligwa Municipality, 14 members of the electrical team are currently in isolation. 

“To date more or less 27 people were in contact with the three employees who tested positive, and are self-isolating.”

Mr Zwane added that this has a negative impact on services delivery in general. 

The delays in power restoration is caused by many factors and not only by the absence of these employees. 

“There are delays in some areas due to multiple cable faults and switching between Eskom load-shedding and municipal load-reduction,” Mr Zwane concluded.
