Speeding vehicle damages police vehicle after attempted robbery in Standerton

According to KSS, the door could not be opened remotely, but assistance arrived.

Kasselman Security Services (KSS) indicated on Wednesday, 5 May that an alarm went off at a bank in town.

Their reaction officers responded and Standerton Police were also at the scene.

The bank informed them that there were people inside, but KSS found everything to be in order.

According to KSS, the door could not be opened with a remote, but assistance arrived.

KSS said the suspects gained entry through the roof.

No damage was done to the safes.

After leaving however, a speeding vehicle rammed into the police vehicle.

KSS gave chase and managed to pull the vehicle off and arrest the driver.

According to Mr Jannie Kasselman, a case was opened against the driver.

The driver’s vehicle and police vehicle are damaged.

The vehicles of KSS were parked away from the scene.

According to information, the suspect was taken to the Standerton Hospital for a blood test to be done.
