Six years and counting for Secunda’s Rootz Boutique Spa
The beauty industry had always been an aspiration for Ms Mntungwa.
SECUNDA – Rootz Boutique Spa at Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club recently celebrated their sixth year in business.
At the birthday event held at Graceland on Thursday, 15 April, the owner of Rootz Boutique Spa, Ms Andile Mntungwa, said she is extremely grateful to her client base for their continued support.
The beauty industry had always been an aspiration for Ms Mntungwa.
Growing up in a home with a strict mother and father, her family never shared the same vision.
She continued with school, studied and obtained a degree in engineering.
However, this was a career path she did not see as a lifetime goal and went on to study cosmetology on a part-time basis.
While building up a small client base in a tiny room after hours, Ms Mntungwa struggled to balance both careers and decided to throw in the hard hat and safety boots to pursue what she loved best.
“Working at Rootz is such a joy in my life, the therapists I work with are practically family, we are sisters.
“My journey thus far has been an absolute blessing from God,” said Ms Mntungwa.
Ms Veneshrie Chetty, marketing manager for Graceland, said: “Rootz Boutique Spa is one of our enterprise development projects at Graceland and provides a lot of value.
“We wish you many more successful years,” said Ms Chetty.
Mr Prosper as the MC, Pastor Teddy Ngwenya opened in prayer and the special guest was Lerefolo.
