Police urge the public to help in finding missing man from Standerton

Mr Vilakazi is said to have left home in his white Toyota-bakkie with registration number KTC 469 MP.

Mpumalanga Police need the public’s help in locating Mr Themba Isaac Vilakazi (54) from Standerton, who was reported missing on Saturday, 27 March.

According to a press statement from Brig Leonard Hlathi, dated 30 March, reports indicate that Mr Vilakazi, who is a known farmer, was last seen by his family on Thursday, 25 March.

He informed the family that he was going to Standerton Police Station to meet someone, who earlier called him and introduced himself as a police officer.

Mr Vilakazi is said to have left home in his white Toyota-bakkie with registration number KTC 469 MP.

The family tried on several occasions to contact him on his cell phone after realising that he was gone for a long time, to no avail.

His car cannot be found as well.

Police launched an investigation and anyone who knows of his whereabouts or with information, can contact Det/Const Nompumelelo Mpila at 079 890 4884 or the Crime Stop number can be called at 08600 10111.

A tip-off can also be given via MYSAPSAPP.
