The body of a 19-year-old woman was discovered next to the Carolina Golf course on 27 March.
According to information obtained from police, she sustained multiple stab wounds to her chest and there were strangle bruises to her neck.
A community member stumbled upon her body while collecting wood.
It was later established that the victim is Sinethemba Princess Nkosi, who stayed in the Silobela Township.
Her sister had the dreadful task of identifying her body.
The deceased was apparently last seen on 23 March in the morning when she told her sister that she was leaving for Hendrina to visit her ex-boyfriend.
A missing person file was opened at the Carolina Police Station on the 26 March.
Her hand bag containing her cell phone, bank card and identity document was missing.
Police are investigating the murder.
