SECUNDA – Mediclinic Secunda will close its doors on Wednesday, 31 March.
Ms Tertia Kruger, corporate communications manager of Mediclinic Southern Africa, said this review was taken over time based on operational performance and the decision was taken to discontinue operations for the facility.
Bank Pharmacy will be sold as a business entity, and potential buyers are currently being identified.
“It is our intention that staff employed at the hospital will be accommodated at Mediclinic Highveld with the team within pharmacy moving over to the new operator,” said Ms Kruger.
“Our supporting doctors will continue consulting at Mediclinic Highveld and admissions will be accommodated there as well.
“The Teksdok after hours general practitioner service will continue from the same location, until further notice.”
According to Ms Kruger, the sale of the pharmacy will take longer to conclude and Mediclinic will be meeting with all stakeholders to engage further around this matter.
