Chrissiesmeer Police station temporarily closes due to employee testing positive

Chrissiesmeer Police Station was temporarily closed on 13 January, due to an employee who tested positive for Covid-19.

Brig Leonard Hlathi, provincial police spokesman, said: “The community service centre will now be operated from the Chrissiesmeer prefabricated buildings – just behind the police station in Parkwood Street.”

“The community can phone 082 579 0210 or 071 189 9048 for any emergencies and complaints, which will be attended to accordingly.”

He added, the telephone lines at Chrissiesmeer Police Station will be accessible for the duration of the closure.

“Therefore service delivery will not be hampered.”

Brig Hlathi, said: “The building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally on Friday, 15 January.”

He concluded, the police management in Mpumalanga apologises for any inconvenience that this might cause.
