Methodist Church in eMbalenhle gives out food parcels

“We have completed our matric two years ago but due to a lack of financial support, we were unable to continue with our studies. I hope someday we will find a way to further our studies,” said Mr Mbatha.

eMBALENHLE – Christmas came early for six families from eMbalenhle when the Methodist Church gave them food parcels.

Rev Noloyiso Nkosi said the church’s mission is to help the needy.

She said there is no holiness outside social holiness.

The donations come from members in the congregation.

Rev Nkosi said they will continue until next month with their programme of helping the needy.

Mr Bonginkosi Mbatha (23) him and his brother lost their parents 10 years ago and it is difficult for them to put bread on the table.

They are not not working but only depends on piece jobs but said the gift they received from the church will last them for at least two months.
