KINROSS – A body, burnt beyond recognition, was found on the Kinross dumpsite on Wednesday, 9 December.

People looking for scrap metal on the dumpsite stumbled upon the body.

Kinross Police were informed about the gruesome discovery at about 3pm.

The cops found the charred remains covered with a brown blanket.

According to Sgt Jaco Nagel, spokesman for Kinross Police Station, the body is so badly burned that not even the gender of the person is identifiable.

“We suspect the body might be that of a woman who lived on the dumpsite.

She was reported missing on Friday, 4 December.

“This however, can only be confirmed after the autopsy and DNA testing have been conducted,” said Sgt Nagel.
