Opera singer begins discussion groups in Secunda for those who appreciate music
Botha is considering to host more sessions during the day.
SECUNDA – Opera singer, Theunis Botha, has formed a group for music appreciators.
This discussion group gets together on Tuesdays at 6pm to listen to, analyse and discuss classical music, the various instruments and the development thereof throughout the ages.
Botha is a well of knowledge and interesting facts on these topics.
The latest discussion on Tuesday began with Johannes Brahms’ first symphony preformed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
They also looked at the performance of Russian conductor Valery Gergiev with Brahms’ second piano concert.
Botha is considering to host more sessions during the day.
“It is ideal to keep these sessions in smaller, more intimate groups,” he explained.
