Warrior camp at Trichardt also now open for girls

The sessions presented are combined with various physical activities, and this year the organisers added a splash of Survivor, Fear Factor and Braai Master.

After the successful camp of 2019, the Be Remarkable team is once again hosting the Warrior Camp this year from 17 to20 December at the Trichardtsfontein Dam.

The Warrior Camp is presented this year to boys between the ages of nine and 18 years, as well as for girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years.

The sessions presented are combined with various physical activities, and this year the organisers added a splash of Survivor, Fear Factor and Braai Master.

Girls will be sleeping in one tent and the boys must bring their own tents or share a tent.

Very strict supervision will be in place.

This program is geared towards the empowerment of boys and girls, to be the best in all areas of their lives. This initiative is designed to educate, inspire, and motivate them by giving them the confidence and skills needed to successfully navigate through life’s experiences.

Those who are part of the programme will be mentored over four days.

They will be empowered to deal with situations they are faced with in their daily lives.

They will be part of discussions and activities that will help build their self-confidence and growth their self-esteem and finally they will be given opportunities to give to others and in so doing receive the gift of the giver.

Mr Alwyn Burger, founder of Be Remarkable, said the children’s lives will be transformed by planting seeds of love, acceptance, encouragement and success into their lives, and that in turn, these young boys and girls will become role models for their peers and help to build a stronger, caring community.

“All topics are based and discussed on Biblical principles,” Mr Burger said.

The cost for the camp is R550 per person.
