Body of a man found in small quarry at Driefontein Farm

SECUNDA – Delta 1 Rescue Diving, together with Mpumalanga Inland Water Policing, retrieved the body of a unknown man in a small quarry at the Driefontein Farm in Secunda on Sunday, 31 May.

The community alerted police after the body of the man, who is believed to be in his 50’s, was discovered.

The body was retrieved around 11pm.

Although it could not be confirmed at the time of going to press, it is believed the unidentified man might have suffered an epileptic fit as medication was found on him.

Mr Andries Lee of Delta 1 Rescue Diving thanked ER24 for their response to the scene.

ER24 declared the man dead on scene.

The Secunda police were also on the scene.
