SECUNDA – The motorcyclist who died in an accident near Builders Warehouse on PDP Kruger Street on Friday, 29 May, has been identified as Mr Derick Ditlow.

The 30-year-old was a foreman at one of the local mines was riding his BMW 1000R superbike when it collided with a car.

He was declared dead on the scene.

A group of Mr Ditlow’s family and friends gathered on Sunday on the spot where he died to pay their last respects and to pray for the bereaved.

[30 May 2020 1.40pm] Motorcyclist dies in accident in Secunda

SECUNDA – A motorcycle and vehicle were involved in an accident in PDP Kruger Street opposite Builders Warehouse, this afternoon, 29 May.

One person was declared dead at the scene.

Emergency services and police were on scene.

Police were unable to release any further information as the family still needed to be notified.

One side of the road was closed. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes.
