KINROSS – Police arrested five suspects in connection with the murder of Siyabonga Mathebula (20).
Siyabonga died at the hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by gang members in Extension 25 on Tuesday, 19 May.
It is alleged that a fight erupted between two rivalry gangs after the other gang caught Siyabonga sitting and smoking in their territory.
According to the police, this angered another gang who retaliated. They searched for the suspects and ended up torching a car and damaging several house in the area.
Police conducted an investigation and the suspects were caught in Leandra.
Police said the suspects were out on bail for robbery.
They remain in custody.
