Laerskool JJ van der Merwe orders several face masks before school opening

Amid talks of schools reopening, Laerskool JJ van der Merwe has already ordered bulk face masks that will be sold at the school.

As stipulated by the government in the Disaster Management Act, the wearing of a facemask is now compulsory, thus learners will have to wear masks once the schools have reopened.

They are washable and can be used again.

“We request that each student brings two masks to school per day – they should wear one and keep the other in their suitcases in case of an emergency.

“Pupils may still wear masks obtained from other providers as long as they meet the required standards.”
