Sasol Secunda Toastmasters give their best in public speaking

The Sasol Secunda Toastmasters Club was officially re-established in May last year and anybody is welcome to attend their next meeting on Tuesday, 17 March at the Sasol Recreation Club.

SECUNDA – Messrs Kenneth Milanzi and Hlatse Seboni won the Sasol Secunda Toastmasters Club’s speech contest at Zebra Lounge at Lake Umuzi on Wednesday evening, 4 March.

This was the first leg of the Toastmasters International Contest and the pair will now take part in the area contest that includes competitors from Secunda, eMbalenhle, Ermelo and Mbombela (Nelspruit).

If they qualify, they will then take part in the divisional contest and compete against competitors from Gauteng East and Mpumalanga.

If they achieve their goals there, they will qualify to take part in the grand finals of this competition that will be held in Paris in France later this year.

Messrs Eric Sithole and Zweli Sithole and Ms Lorato Oreboleng were the runners up in the prepared speech, impromptu speech and evaluation categories respectively.

The Sasol Secunda Toastmasters Club was re-established last year in May and everyone is welcome to attend their next meeting.

The Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organisation based in the United States of America that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of promoting communication, public speaking and leadership skills.
