eMBALENHLE – Police are investigating the recent kidnapping and robbery of a 42-year-old man.
According to the police, the man was waiting for transport to work when he was confronted by the three men who forced him into their vehicle.
One of the suspects allegedly threatened him with a gun while another was holding a knife.
They instructed him to direct them to his house.
On arrival, he was forced to open the gate and unlock the house.
They then took his laptop, cell phones and cash.
The robbers then instructed him to get into his car and drive with them while another man was following their vehicle.
They drove to Middelburg, but on the way, the victim’s car hit a pothole and tyres were damaged.
The victim escaped while the culprits were changing the tyre.
