eMBALENHLE – A suspect was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 25-day-old infant in Extension 22.
Police said the mother of the infant went to the shop, but when she returned a few minutes later, the baby was missing.
The mother asked the neighbours if they had seen anyone enter her house and was told the name of the person who took the child.
She allegedly tried calling the suspect, but she did not respond.
The suspect then wrote on the mother’s Facebook timeline that the child was with her.
Police searched for and then arrested the suspect.
