A robbery took place at American Battery Company in Krogh Street on 16 January when three unidentified suspects entered the premises and stole batteries and equipment.

According to Kasselman Security Services (KSS), the panic alarm was received at 8.50pm and a security officer arrived at 8.53pm.

The suspects went to the back and pulled a black bag over Mr Aubrey Mallinson’s face and tied him up.

According to Mr Mallinson, he lay still and once he heard them leaving, he managed to untie himself and pressed the panic button.

The button, which was on the counter, fell to the floor, and he realised he was lying on top of it.

“I don’t know where I got the strength to untie myself,” Mr Mallinson said.

“They threatened to kill me.”

According to KSS, no weapons were seen and no serious injuries reported.

KSS is on the lookout for any witnesses in the area or available CCTV-footage.
