Shrapnel sent flying through the air after ATM bombing in Hendrina

Criminals bombed an ATM at a shopping complex in Arnot* on 15 January.
Police opened a case of malicious damage to property after the bombing.
According to Mr Theo Craven, control room operator for the local neighbourhood watch, one of their clients informed them about the incident.
Hendrina Police and a bomb squad were dispatched to the scene.
Upon their arrival they discovered the bombed ATM and a R20 note dye stains on it.
According to Mr Craven, an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
The Highvelder sent media enquiries to Const Mbenekazi, spokesman of Hendrina Police, he could however, not comment at the time of going to press.
* CORRECTION Please note that this article has been amended, the Highvelder reported that an ATM was bombed in Hendrina, according to new information received, the bombing occurred at Arnot Shopping Centre.
