MEC Shongwe plans to restore Lindile Secondary School to its former glory

He said, “There will be no good performance for as long as the condition of the school remains unimproved.”

Mr Vusi Shongwe, MEC for Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs visited Lindile Secondary School on 15 January.

MEC Shongwe put in place a six month intervention plan to restore Lindile to its former glory.

The intervention plan included fencing a food garden, sourcing paint to rejuvenate dull school walls, the revival of the food garden and restoring discipline at the school.

He said, “There will be no good performance for as long as the condition of the school remains unimproved.

“Effective learning and teaching can only take place once we turn the way we do things around and take care of the school to make it conducive for learning.”
