Maryam enjoys master make-up course in Dubai
She met celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and attended her make-up artist, Mario Dedivanovic’s master class in make-up.
TRICHARDT – Ms Maryam Karodia was interested in doing make-up since she was a child.
She remembers when she was only 10 years old how she would ‘practice’ doing make-up on her cousins.
Since she finished with school and completed a course in beauty and make-up at the Beauty Therapy Institute, Ms Karodia has gained more knowledge and experience in the make-up industry.
She became a professional make-up artist in 2014 and completed several master classes in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and learnt from the finest make-up artists in the industry.
She met celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and attended her make-up artist, Mario Dedivanovic’s master class in make-up.
Ms Karodia also attended the Huda Beauty’s master class to refine her techniques and to see how make-up is done for celebrities.
“I saw how they would blend eyeshadow to make it seamless,” said Ms Karodia.
“It was an amazing experience, I enjoy travelling and seeing different things.”
Ms Karodia now serves a wide range of clients requiring a professional make-up artist and she works from her studio or travels countrywide to wherever her service is required.
She specialises in doing make-up for weddings, matric farewells and other special occasions.
Ms Karodia has also done theatre make-up for a runway launch show and she recently began her own YouTube channel where she posts video’s on make-up tutorials.
When Ms Karodia is not doing make-up, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her son.
“I am a full time mommy now,” she said about her one-year-old son.
She loves fashion, shopping, her friends, making memories with her family and travelling.
Apart from Dubai, she has also been to England, Thailand, France, Spain, Jordan and Vietnam.
She recently became a brand ambassador for Glam Glow and often showcase promotional items on her Instagram page called @longlivetheclassy.
