Criminal steal money and cell phones in Ermelo

An undisclosed amount of money and cell phones were stolen from Ackermans in the Ermelo Mall on 14 December.

According to Mr Nickey Phyffer, ACSU control room operator, an employee of Ackermans was held at gun point and asked for the safe on the premises to be opened.

ACSU received information 40 minutes after the robbery occurred.

Ms Cynthia Macassa, Ackermans store manager, said: “The roof had a few leaks and a man said he was there to check the sealing.”

An employee escorted him to the back when the robber took out the gun and began giving instructions.
