Residents complain about Secunda licensing office

Another concern for residents is the ceiling inside the office at the licensing department at Govan Mbeki Municipality.

SECUNDA – Residents have to queue for three hours just to get their vehicle license disc renewed.

“There are about five counters, but only one is open,” said a motorist.

“You see some of the staff members entering the cubicles where the counters are, only to leave a few minutes later without helping anyone.”

Another concern for residents is the ceiling inside the office at the licensing department at Govan Mbeki Municipality (GMM).

“The ceiling in the office where they helped us, also looked like it could cave in on us anytime.

“What will they do if that ceiling falls on the people and someone gets hurt?”

Ridge Times asked Mr Benzi Soko, chief of staff at GMM, as well as two other employees at GMM’s communications department for comment, but they have not replied at the time of going to press.
