A woman of Sakhile laid an assault case against her brother at the Sakhile Police Station after he allegedly attacked her and refused her entry to the family home.

He appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 18 March on a common assault charge and was released on a warning.

His next court appearance will be on 5 September.

“My brother said he is in possession of the title deed,” she said.

“He also said people came from house to house to hand over title deeds.”

The woman added that she tried to protect herself with a can of pepper spray during the assault, but her brother managed to get hold of it and used it against her.
