Police urge motorist to be more vigilant as hijackings increase

eMBALENHLE – Motorists are warned of the rise in hijackings and are cautioned to be vigilant.

This came after several hijackings were recently reported to the police.

In one of the reported incidents, the police said a motorist and his friends were inside his vehicle in Extension 15 when two men opened both vehicle doors and pointed fire arms at them.

They instructed them to move to the back seat and tied them up with cable ties and shoe laces.

The suspects then drove to Extension 16 where they dropped them off and fled the scene.

In another incident, a motorist returned home from work and was parking his vehicle when two men approached him.
