A resident videoed an electrical box sparking in Cloete Street in the early morning hours on 1 August.
According to the resident she lives nearby and heard strange noises.
Upon further investigation, she discovered the electrical box sparking.
According to another source, an electrical street pole was also sparking in Cloete Street on the same day.
The Highvelder sent an email to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman of Msukaligwa Municipality for comment.
